Ekko is bred out of Hidden Meadows Livestock, LLC in Missoula, MT. Her pedigree is stacked with working dogs from foundation dogs of Mission Falls Ranch in St. Ignatius, Montana. The vast majority of dogs in Ekko’s pedigree have all gone on to excel in herding, agility, SAR, dock diving, disc, flyball and more.

Ekko has a high drive and medium arousal. She is a biddable dog and able to maintain a handler focused relationship. Ekko has the best off switch. She does well indoors, and is able to settle with ease. Ekko is neutral, but friendly to both people and other dogs. Her versatility is exceptional, she seems to thrive in whatever activity we throw her in. She has the true heart of a border collie. Ekko doesn’t care what we do, she is just ready to work.

Ekko has been exposed to variety of herding, sports, and performance venues, such as: AKC sheep, USBCHA cattle, NADD dock diving, NASDA scent, Barn Hunting, AKC scent, rally, fastCAT, and trick training.

On stock, Ekko shows loads of confidence, style and natural ability. After several stock exposures and a couple herding clinics, we decided to invest further into Ekko’s training. In March 2025, Ekko left for a 90 day herding train and trial for both AKC and USBCHA venues with Alexis Atchinson at Apex Farms and Border Collies in Washington. She took to it effortlessly, receiving her HSAs and HIAs AKC herding titles after only several weeks of training. Additionally, she has 2/3 Q’s towards her HSBs and HSDs titles. We hope to compete more in more venues down the road.

This lovely blue merle girl is taking a break from breeding until late 2027 or early 2028, where she will have a fourth and final breeding. In the meantime, we will continue her training and competing in barn hunting, scent work and rally. This is where our focus has shifted with the hope of pursuing higher titles in our future.
